Express Employment Professional is seeking a Somatologist - Advanced Skincare Therapist, to provide professional skin consultations and advanced skincare treatments that deliver exceptional client results while maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and client care. The Somatologist is responsible for treatment planning, client education, homecare recommendations, and driving treatment and retail revenue.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Skin Consultations & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive skin consultations and assessments.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' concerns and goals.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and progress notes.
- Review client medical histories and identify contraindications before treatments.
Skincare Treatments
- Perform professional facials and advanced skincare treatments.
- Conduct appropriate superficial and professional peels within scope of practice.
- Deliver treatments according to established protocols and brand standards.
- Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust treatment plans where necessary.
- Ensure consistent, safe, and results-driven service delivery.
Client Education & Homecare
- Recommend suitable homecare products and routines.
- Educate clients on treatment preparation, aftercare, and maintenance.
- Encourage treatment-plan adherence and follow-up appointments.
- Build long-term client relationships through excellent service and professional advice.
Treatment Room Management
- Maintain exceptional hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and client ready.
- Manage treatment consumables and stock levels.
- Report inventory shortages and support stock control procedures.
- Comply with all health, safety, and infection-control requirements.
Sales & Business Growth
- Promote skincare services, packages, and treatment plans.
- Support achievement of treatment revenue targets.
- Recommend professional skincare products that complement treatment outcomes.
- Encourage client re-bookings and treatment-plan completion.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Recognized qualification in Somatology, Beauty Therapy, or Advanced Skincare.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in advanced skincare treatments.
- Experience performing facials, professional peels, and skin consultations.
- Training and certification on professional skincare brands will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of skin conditions, treatment protocols, and product ingredients.
- Excellent client consultation and customer service skills.
