Express Employment Professionals is working with YES to help South Africa’s youth find work during SA’s youth unemployment crisis.

Express Employment Professionals aims to empower people of all ages through finding them jobs. Creating work opportunities and experiences for South Africa’s youth is a national priority. YES is an organisation that strives to create work experiences for young people, giving them the opportunity to start earning money through apprenticeships, jobs, leadership, skilling opportunities, and volunteering. They also support youths who have or are looking to start their own small businesses. 

The youth unemployment rate in South Africa reached a staggering 66.5% at the end of last year, according to Trading Economics. YES and Express Employment Professionals share the vision and goal of creating more work opportunities for our youth. YES helps young people improve their employability and also works with companies to help create new work experiences.

Express Employment Professionals has been proud to participate in the YES for Youth programme since 2020. Last year, we created ten work experiences that saw five youths absorbed into the workforce beyond the 12-month YES contract. Eleven work experiences were also created with similar success. This year, we aim to create at least twelve work experiences for young people in South Africa. We, at Express Employment Professionals, work hand-in-hand with organisations such as YES to help young people reach their employment goals.
