Brand It Blue Day is Express Employment Professionals national day of volunteering. In cities and towns across South Africa, local Express offices join together with their associates, clients, friends and family to help fight hunger – a growing epidemic that affects millions every day.
2017 marks the 5th year for Brand It Blue day, so circle 9 June 2017 on your calendar and save the date for this national day of volunteering.
“Brand It Blue Day is a unique event that allows the entire Express family to come together in the fight against hunger in the communities where we work and live,” said Bob Funk, CEO and chairman of the board for Express. “As we continue on our mission to put a million people to work, we’re looking forward to continuing to volunteer and serve people in need.”
In the past four years, Express offices donated 300,000 meals to non-profit organizations across North America & South Africa through their efforts on Brand It Blue Day. In 2016, more than 235 Express offices and 1,000 volunteers came together to help fight hunger.
How you can help
We would love for you to join us on 9 June for Brand It Blue Day – a day of giving back – as we volunteer and honour the communities that have supported us through the years.
Donate non-perishable food items
You can help by collecting non-perishable food items such as flour, sugar, pasta, rice, maize meal, soups, canned meat etc. from your company, church, home, sports team or community and drop off the items at your nearest Express Employment Professionals office from now until 8 June 2017.
