JOB AT A GLANCE:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Factory Controller to Support the Factory Manager as a
trusted co-pilot within the Factory Leadership Team (vision, organization, practices,
initiatives/projects…) on a day to day as well as on a long-term strategic view. Provide visibility
around costs related to the factory processes through the driving of relevant analysis and
reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling the variances), ensure adherence to financial
legal requirements and NAS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in factories. Seek for and support
cost improvement opportunities, be an active contribution to improvement projects and
initiatives validate and review proposed savings
• Coordinate reporting of actuals (including organized and overseeing timelines and accuracy
of period-end close and promoting ownership of data at source); and forecasts for the
factory, which includes finished goods warehouse; ensure transparency of this process;
follow up and monitoring of progress to close gaps, ensuring company financial policies, and
accounting standards.
• Participate in business planning: prepare and coordinate the factory budget including fixed
distribution cost of the factory with factory management; perform revisions if needed.
• Develop, control and ensure robust evaluations of capital investment plans and requests
• Ensure clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities, including the development,
implementation and compliance with internal controls
• Coach and develop the factory finance personnel as individuals as a team, including career
and succession planning
• Promote clear understanding of financial key figures and costing within the factory and
finished goods warehouse including organizing training.

• Ensure full transparency of costs and financial impact to the organization of major or
strategic decisions relating to the factory and finished goods warehouse
• Organize internal and external benchmarking of factory performance and factory product
costs
• Coordinate and be key contact for internal and external audits within the factory.
KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
• Qualifications: Finance, Accounting degree and CIMA
• Must have 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Finance Controller, Senior Assistant Controller or
Finance Manager within FMCG or Manufacturing
• Extensive experience in costing and reporting is non-negotiable (factory financials, variance
report using SAP)
• Some auditing experience whether internal/external ideal
• SAP and PowerBI reporting experience
• Role reports directly into Factory Manager/GM and dotted line to Technical & Overheads
Controller in Head Office
• 2 direct reports into the role of Assistant Factory Controllers
